Can you make money online? The truth is, yes you can! You can write your own pay cheque and make as much or as little money as you want, on the Internet. The dream of riches can be yours.

Here, is where most of the sales pages, that you see out there, lead you, to the dream of riches. The big problem, is that they don’t tell you the whole truth. And, that is what we will look at in this article. The Truth and nothing but the truth.

Truth one; about making money online:

Yes you can! You can do anything that you set your mind to. So, if you set your mind to make money online, then you can do it.

Truth two; about making money online:

It takes persistence! You will not succeed, if you do not find it within yourself, to never give up. Some people find success in a short amount of time, but the majority of people that make the big money online, take years to get into the six figure a year level(without the right training). Most people, jump around, from opportunity to opportunity, and, never give any one thing the chance to work. In today’s world of instant everything, people seem to have lost the knowledge, that it takes time to grow a business.

Truth three; about making money online:

You have to do the work! There is a lot of work involved, to become successful online. Things like setting up a website, writing articles, social media and advertising, to name a few. Just like a house, you need to start with a foundation and build from the bottom up. You cannot start at the top, sorry, but unless you have millions to spend and buy an existing business, that is already successful, you have to start with the foundations and grow from there.

Truth four; about making money online:

Can you have other people do the work for you? Yes! It is a common practice, to outsource the work that needs to be done. Just remember on thing, YOU need to know how to do the work, so that you can make sure, that it is being done right. The other thing about outsourcing the work, is that it costs money to do it. If money is not a problem, then it is the quickest way to get everything up and running.

Truth five; about making money online:

Do I need a website of my own? Yes you do! It does not even have to be a site that sells anything, but you need a site were people can go to find out more about you. Let’s call it an authority site. The more people, that get to know you, the more chance, that you have, that they will buy from you.

Truth six; about making money online: Do I need an Auto Responder? Yes! An auto responder is without a doubt a must have. Myself, I use Aweber and have never had a moments worry with it. Your auto responder, should give you templates, to set up opt-in forms and then store all the information, that you get from your people that opt-in, so that you can email them. You should also, be able to set up a series of emails, that will be sent out, to any new person that joins your list.

Truth seven; about making money online: Do I need to have a list to make money? No, you do not have to have a list. There are a large number, of very successful people on the Internet, that do not have lists. Is it better to have a list? Yes! With a list you can make more money than without a list. Why? With a list you can email a person over and over again. This gives you the chance, to make more than one sale to that person. Without a list, you can only ever make one sale to that person. So, I think you can see, why having a list, is much more profitable, then not having one. lol

Truth eight; about making money online: Do more then 95% of people fail on the Internet? Yes! Why? They do not educate themselves to succeed. They jump around, from one thing to the next, and they think, that if they can just find the right opportunity, that they can make all kinds of money, without putting any work into it. Of course, with all the fly by night opportunities out there, they end up getting scammed for a bunch of money and of course give up, thinking that everything is a scam, why bother.

Truth nine; about making money online: How much education do I need? I tell people, that education is one of the most important things, when it comes to creating a successful business on the Internet. You can always learn new things, and, the Internet is always changing. Things that worked last year, do not work today, so education is an ongoing thing. One word of caution! Do not get so caught up in the education, that you do not do the work, that needs to be done, to create your success. Some people get lost in the education and fail to do the work, and become one of the 95% of people that fail.

Truth Ten; about making money online: How do I know, that I’m getting the right education? This can be one of the hardest things to know, with any certainty. I spent months, searching for the right company to get involved with. I found one, the Six Figure Mentors, that gave me more for $19.95, then any of the others gave me for a lot more money. In conclusion: There is lots of money, to be made on the Internet. You just have to do the work, and, build the right foundations beforehand. Sounds like a broken record right?  But, with the amount of strategies that are available on the Internet, many people get caught up with trying too many different things, all at once and never getting anywhere, because of it.  You need to Pick One Marketing Strategy And Stick To It, that is if you want to succeed with your business.

There are so many choices out there, that it is like being a kid in a candy store, you want to try everything, and you end up with nothing, but a stomach ache.  The Internet can be a marketers candy store, with so many ways to do marketing, and so many courses and gurus to follow.  The problem is, we end up feeling like our brains are about to have a meltdown, like an ice cream cone on a hot day, with way too much information to digest in any one sitting.

Every new marketer, goes through the stage of information overload.  We try to learn everything that there is to know about marketing all at one sitting.  The problem is the brain does not work that way; it works more like a camera, you can take one picture at a time and see the information.  We don’t work like a movie camera, that takes in picture after picture in a streaming motion.

Lets Pick One Marketing Strategy And Stick To It

First, you need to look at what the strategy is, and does it fit with who you are and what you can do.  If it is video marketing, do you have a camera that can do the videos.

Or, if it is article marketing, and you can’t write a word to save your life, then that is a strategy that you don’t need to learn.

What you need to do, is find ONE strategy that works with who you are.  And, then you need to learn how to use that strategy.  That may take you a day, a week, or longer, depending on the amount of time that you have to put into learning it.  But, and there is a but, you need to learn one at a time.

Pick One Marketing Strategy And Stick To It, What To Do, Once You Have Learned That Marketing Strategy

Once you understand how the strategy works, you need to use it.  That’s right, way too many people learn a marketing strategy, but never use it.  Let’s take banner ads as an example;  you learn how to create a banner, then how to create a squeeze page for that banner, you know where, and how to place your banner on the net.  But, you don’t do it.  You say, “I don’t have the money to do banner ads right now”.

Well, OK, then let me ask you this, “why did you learn that marketing strategy in the first place?”.  Too many people do this, and waste a huge amount of their time learning a strategy that they will not use.  So, learn the ones that you can and will use. Then, once you know how to use it, just get out there and do it.

In Conclusion, On Pick One Marketing Strategy And Stick To It

Don’t get caught in the shiny new strategy circle, because it is a circle that is never ending, you need to pick one marketing strategy and stick to it, and put what you have learned into practice.  Once you have that marketing strategy down, then and only then, move onto the next one, and learn that one, then put it into action.

Massive consistent action = results.

It seems like ages since I did one of my random video messages! But today I decided it was time to get the camera out again and share a thought or two with my subscribers…

I suppose in a nutshell the message I want to get across in this video, is that it’s genuinely possible for ANYONE to build a succesful online business. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are, what job you have, how old you are or what your motivation is.

As long as you have the drive and determination it is possible. Everyday I witness and hear new success stories. Just like this one from our recent event in London

But sometimes, I guess it’s easy to forget how LIFE CHANGING it really is when I’m not meeting many of our students face to face.

Sitting in that bar in NYC, with one guy from here in the US and another guy from Australia just really got me thinking. It got me thinking about how different our lives, education and upbringings were… Yet we all shared that original burning desire to find a better way.

A way that allowed us a TON more freedom and choices in our lives….

Yet I have to say, it really does surprise me how so many people just accept their way of life and don’t even look for other options…

Whether that be ways to make more money to support their family, gain more security, have more time with their kids, or just have a life with a lot more freedom in general.

The fact is – in 2012, whether people like to admit it or not (including your boss), with the Internet and so many new business models, there is more ways than you can even begin to imagine to earn a living.

So it’s my advice that if you’re not happy with your current situation, or you just want to improve your lifestyle…. without me pulling any punches - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Because as far as I am am aware, life isn’t a dress rehearsal!!!

It’s just about doing your research, learning some new skills and then getting your head down for a while, whilst you figure out what works…. and if you want a tip - get yourself a mentor - It will make things happen 20 x faster for you!

So anyway, that concludes my rant – I’ve got to run as I’m just about to jump on a plane to Michigan to meet some other guys that work with us!
